Year 4 Wonderful Science

20th September 2021

Year 4 has been learning about living things and their habitats. Early one morning, they took off for a I AM A CRUSTY MAN Hunt around the school. This was the acronym of the week. This has helped the learners identify the different classes of invertebrates such as insects and crustaceans. Using magnifying glasses, they explored the invertebrates’ habitats and collected various samples.

Then they carefully transported them to class and worked on rigorous observation and questioning sessions. The learners were able to use features such as the number of legs, wings or no wings and body parts to differentiate and group the collected samples. Year 4 class are looking forward to the next step of designing a model Invertebrate classification key
