Welcome
Welcome to Braeside Thika School. Braeside Thika, formerly Imani School, was originally established in the Del Monte pineapple plantation in 1969. When it was taken over by the Braeburn Group of International Schools in January 2011, a new chapter in the history of the school began. The school moved to its current purpose-built site on Mang’u Road in Thika in January 2015.
We have been proudly accredited members of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) since 2017, and we are also members of the Kenya Association of International Schools (KAIS). These accreditations acknowledge our quality education and international credibility, assuring parents that the school meets rigorous global standards in teaching and learning, student welfare, leadership, staff qualifications, and facilities.
Braeside Thika educates children from 18 months – 18 years in a beautiful school, located in spacious grounds where children have room to explore, play, and grow. At the heart of the school is a strong and guiding ethos built on three core values: Ready, Respect, Safe. Students arrive each day ready to learn and ready to contribute. They show respect for themselves, for others, and for the world around them in every interaction. Above all, they feel safe: safe to ask questions, safe to try, safe to make mistakes, and safe to be fully themselves.
