Braeside Thika offers full and weekly boarding programmes. Students can go home for a weekend at the parents’ or guardians’ request, however, the Head of Boarding must be notified several days prior to the student leaving the boarding house.
Our Boarding House
Our boarding facility offers spacious houses and comfortable lounges equipped with DSTV and Wi-Fi, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment where students can unwind after a busy school day. A wide range of activities keeps boarders active and engaged, including board games, table tennis, pool, lawn tennis, football, badminton, basketball, netball, athletics, rounders, and swimming.
Our rooms accommodate four students and are thoughtfully allocated by age group or key stage to ensure compatibility and a strong sense of community. Each room provides privacy and personal space, with ensuite bathrooms. While students are responsible for tidying their rooms and making their beds, daily cleaning and laundry services are provided, allowing them to focus on their studies and fully enjoy boarding life.

Each boarding house is led by a dedicated Boarding Parent who plays a central role in mentoring and nurturing students emotionally, academically and spiritually. They ensure that every boarder is well prepared for the school day and actively engaged in both academic and cocurricular activities. Above all, Boarding Parents are entrusted with the holistic wellbeing and safeguarding of each student, providing consistent guidance, care and support within a secure and family-oriented environment.
