Year 2 Science

4th October 2021

The year 2’s have been learning about materials and their properties. They started off by investigating the different properties of materials in the environment. They stretched, bent, twisted and squeezed various resources such as wires, sponges, rubber bands, wood and paper.

We then linked our science to our English narrative on the Three Little Pigs. The learners decided to help the 1st and 2nd little pig build a better house based on their scientific findings on properties of different materials.

They were proud to display their work and orally retold their version of the story where at the end, the third little pig came to visit his siblings in their new house.
