Maths is an exciting and vital part of Year 2 learning, sparking a genuine love for exploration in our students every day. At times it flows easily, while other moments present a delightful challenge—just part of the thrilling journey of education. What makes Maths exceptional in our classroom is our adventurous spirit, where children explore numbers, experiment with new ideas and solve problems collaboratively. We joyfully engage with numbers through hands-on activities and learn effective strategies that simplify problem-solving.
Our Year 2 Maths motto, Just keep trying! It encourages resilience—if something doesn’t work the first time, students understand the value of trying again with a different approach. Through curiosity, teamwork, and perseverance, Year 2 students are cultivating confidence and discovering that Math's is not only practical but also enjoyable
