BTH Creche children grow their beanstalk.

At BTH creche, learning comes to life through play and hands-on experiences!
Inspired by the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk and the delightful poem Little Seed, our little gardeners embarked on an exciting bean planting adventure activity. Dressed in their gumboots, they eagerly prepared for their gardening activity. Equipped with spades, pots, bean seeds, and watering cans, they set out to put their knowledge into practice.
As they planted their bean seeds, they recalled what they had learnt about what plants need to germinate: soil, sun, and water. They carefully placed seeds in the soil, gently covered them, and watered them with excitement, anticipating the time their beans would sprout!
This hands-on activity reinforced their understanding of plant growth and a sense of responsibility, sensory exploration, connection to nature, and enhanced fine and gross motor skills. Watching their beans grow as they take care of them in the coming days will be a magical experience, just like in Jack and the Beanstalk!
