Children in FS2 are exploring the solar system igniting a sense of wonder and curiosity about the universe. This encourages children to ask questions, explore further and build a foundation for a lifelong love for science and discovery.
Learning about the solar system encompasses various areas of development for young children. It supports their language and communication skills as they discuss and ask questions about the topic. The children also develop mathematical skills by counting planets, comparing sizes, or understanding patterns.
