Secondary School Club Fair

9th September 2022

As we begin a new academic year, students across various age groups will be treated to a wide range of club activities as highlighted in our secondary school club fair.

At Braeburn Imani, we strongly believe that education is a multifaceted experience that encompases both academic and co-curricular activities. In that regard, we offer a range of clubs and societies that our students can actively join and participate in all the way from Primary to Secondary.

Last week, we held a fair to showcase the clubs that we offer in school. Different club patrons set up their stands in readiness to enlighten our learners about their clubs.

It was a big success as learners readily signed up for both different types of clubs including sporting and academic clubs.

Here are a few of the clubs we are offering this term:

  1. Cookery club - Learners will extend their cooking passion and learn new recipes as well
  2. Yoga - Students in secondary will enjoy physical and mental health benefits from the wide range of yoga activities
  3. Model United Nations - Once again, our school will be registering students to attend the annual MUN conference where they will learn practical debating skills as used by honourable delegates of the United Nations
  4. Blogging - Enthusiastic explorers of world wide web will learn creative ways of making simple blogs
  5. Entrepreneurship - In addition to the business skills learnt in class, learners will use this club to extend their knowledge of practical entrepreneurial skills that will help them to survive in this fast-paced world
  6. Gardening - Gardening enthusiasts will also have a range of gardening activities to do and sensitise the need for a greener world
  7. STEM - Scientific exploration outside the classroom will be led by the young team of innovative learners across the KS3-5, learning sustainable ways of using technology to solve problems.
  8. Maths clinic: Our experienced maths teachers will be setting up various clinics to diagnose and prescribe solutions to specific maths problems faced by students
  9. Board games: How about some witty board games to challenge each other during lunch breaks? Chess players and new players who want to learn the game will have weekly opportunity to play interesting board games
  10. Sporting clubs: This term, we will have a range of sporting activities every Tuesday with Football Academy also added as a club option for talented footballers and those interested in exploring this sport.

Do you have interest in any of these clubs and would like to get involved or receive regular updates about the club? Please do not hesitate to contact us and we will gladly share more information.
