This week, the FS1 students got to step into the shoes of mini-engineers as they explored the fascinating world of gears and simple mechanics. By manipulating interlocking cogs, the children engaged in hands-on problem solving, identifying why certain parts jammed and using critical thinking to ensure the entire system moved in unison. This collaborative play acted as a powerful bridge for communication, as peers negotiated ideas and used new technical vocabulary to describe direction and motion.
