This week, the Year 11 Food and Nutrition (F&N) students had a head start towards the exams season. They did their Pre-Mock Practical examinations, showing good cookery skills and confidence. The pre- mocks give students good examination practice as we endeavor to follow strict IGCSE Examining Board rules. We wish our candidates the best of luck!
At Braeburn Imani, we offer Food and Nutrition in secondary school as a course in KS3 and an optional subject in KS4. The syllabus introduces students to both theoretical and practical aspects of buying and preparing food. It also exposes them to extensive knowledge of dietary and healthy living.
Our students enjoy the experience of learning Food and Nutrition.
Here are some of their thoughts about Food and Nutrition as a subject at Braeburn Imani.
Our Food & Nutrition practical was a great learning opportunity. It was a culmination of many efforts and a lot of preparation. Most importantly, it was a success and we all did really well. Thank you to Mrs Kinyoda and Mrs Josephine for all their support and inputs.

I enjoyed this year's Food & Nutrition practical. I guess I have learned how to manage my time now and I would like to thank our teacher who made this possible. Congratulations to the other students. We did really well.

I joined Food & Nutrition late. However, this practice has made me realise that over time I have gained more confidence and it also taught me what I need to improve on next time. I really enjoyed it.
