Exploring Science through hands-on learning

1st February 2025

At Braeside Thika, we believe in making learning both engaging and practical. This week, our Year 9 students delved into the fascinating world of endothermic reactions during their science lesson. With beakers, thermometers, and a variety of chemical substances in hand, they explored how certain reactions absorb heat, leading to a drop in temperature.

Under the guidance of their science teachers, students conducted experiments to observe and record temperature changes, deepening their understanding of energy transfer in chemical processes. Through this hands-on approach, they reinforced theoretical concepts as they developed critical thinking and analytical skills.

Braeside’s commitment to interactive learning ensures that students actively engage with scientific principles, fostering curiosity and a love for discovery. Keep an eye on our website for more exciting classroom and outdoor learning experiences!
