EAMUN CLUB AT BRAESIDE THIKA

24th February 2024

At Braeside Thika we encourage students to think Globally and enhance their skills in debating and public speaking by exposing to participate in out of school events where they get to interact with student schools.

EAMUN conferences give students a chance to take on the roles of delegates to debate on and develop concrete solutions to pressing global issues. This unique experience also allows participants to gain a greater understanding of international relations and the United Nations, while also developing a wide range of skills such as public speaking, policy research and collaborative problem-solving skills. This is how their experience was in the just concluded 42nd EAMUN Conference.

Viviane Yr 11 “I was nervous and anxious, but as the days progressed, my confidence grew and I had the best experience as a student in EAMUN. I am looking forward to doing it again next year”.

Sheena Yr 10 “EAMUN was a very fun experience and I got to see more of what the conference had to offer in terms of exposure. I also got a chance to participate in a global platform and I hope to use this experience in my future career. Did you know the ICJ Committee in EAMUN operates like The Hague?”

Salman Yr 10 “Being a presscorp, I made more friends and got an experience to improve my photography and advance my future career aspirations as a journalist.
