Cross-curricular links & real life application of sequences

Year 8s this week were able to prove that Mathematics is not a loner subject and can be linked to other subjects. They did this by working collaboratively in generating sequences. They were able to define a sequence as an ordered list of numbers, objects or events which could be applied in real life especially in their daily planning to ensure proper time management. It is also applicable in Criminology where the sequence of events at a crime scene can help in understanding the nature of the crime. They incorporated their Artistic skills in generating sequences during the Math lesson, describing the term to term rule used to continue the sequence as well as the position to term rule also known as the nth term.
