Career Day

9th December 2022

At Braeburn Imani, we celebrate diversity. So, when the school organised a career day, children in the Early Years were at the forefront of this event, showcasing different career options.

EYFS children are inquisitive and curious about their surroundings. Meeting real people who do the jobs they're learning about or want to do in the future creates an exciting environment in the classroom.

The children were excited to see each other dressed up. We had plenty of doctors, football players, firemen, cops, a spaceman, a banker, and even a businessman, all representing the diversity in career aspirations.

Some of the hands-on activities we engaged in include; reading books, role playing, and watching videos about various careers. A few of our parents joined us and discussed their jobs to encourage the little ones inclined towards their careers.

The children had the opportunity to practise their expressive language skills by explaining who they were dressed as and what it would take for them to achieve this in the future.
