Building skills through imagination

20th September 2025

In Early years, every experience is a learning opportunity. Learners at our early years huddled around an old television set with excitement as they pressed buttons pretending it was working. In their playful exchange, they demonstrated not only imagination but also important skills such as turn taking, communication and problem solving. This simple set up created an opportunity for the young learners to spark curiosity and create meaningful experiences for role-play and discovery which help them develop social skills and expand their thinking beyond what is visible.

At Braesde thika, the young learners are provided with a vast array of resources based on the interest they exhibit. We believe every child learns best when their curiosity is nurtured and their imagination is allowed to grow. For this reason, our classrooms and play areas are carefully equipped with both modern tools and open ended materials that invite exploration
