26th November 2022

In September of 2022, Braeburn Imani introduced Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Hospitality at Year 12.

The Subsidiary level has a total of 6 units three of which are mandatory and Pearson set assignments while the other three are selected by the school. This Diploma course has received great enthusiasm from the students who opted to take it.

The Pearson BTEC International Level 3 qualifications in Hospitality are designed either for learners in the 16–19 age group, who wish to pursue a career in hospitality via higher education or in entry-level employment with businesses, or alternatively through junior progression into higher or further education.

Learners will have exposure to a wide range of hospitality topics that will enhance their progression to higher education in this sector, a complementary sector or a contrasting sector, and ultimately lead to employment.

Last week, the students prepared a West African cuisine known as “Jollof’ rice in line with one of the units known as ‘Global Cuisines’ In line with the BIIS ethos of recognizing international cultures, the students really enjoyed cooking and of course eating the rather pepper hot rice.
