Beyond limitation: Swahili at Braeside Thika

In the field of Modern Foreign languages,Braeside Thika International school has given priority to Swahili as one of the modern foreign languages among other Languages offered.
We always promote creativity and mastery of the Swahili language by ensuring that our sessions have the participation of students.
Our key aim is to foster communication skills in competence towards an increasing World connectivity and make sure that our learners close cultural gaps and become global citizens.
In order to spread the effectiveness of this language, we set aside Swahili Day where students get to showcase their competence in reciting and chanting poems and singing taarab songs and this is not a matter of just systems of grammar but to embrace our culture. On this day the students dress up in their beautiful Swahili attire and enjoy the delicious Swahili meals.
It's our aim to see that they have an international mindset with African Roots.
