When these two appellations are associated with humanity, they bring forth celebrations. April is Autism Awareness Month, an event that is observed annually to shine a bright light on Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Braeburn Imani International School concluded this month by observing the 'BIIS Autism Awareness Week.'
To celebrate the various colours of the Autism Spectrum, the BIIS community embarked on the week by donning a variety of happy socks.
In line with the 2023 theme 'Transforming the Narrative', our learners conducted assemblies that were centered on acceptance and inclusion of people on the spectrum. These demystified the misconceptions associated with autism spectrum conditions.
Our Art and Design Lessons painted the various colours on the spectrum to depict various characteristics of the individuals with autism.
