Adapting to the Use of ICT in FS1

Braeburn Imani values children’s learning and therefore ensures that there are sufficient resources which facilitates smooth teaching and learning. As we all know, children are naturally curious and love to find out how things work and happen especially with computing resources.  FS1 gets the opportunities to explore and manipulate with different computing devices such as I Pads, bee bots, cameras, magnifying glasses, binoculars, microphones, torches in our i-Suite. As a result, they develop greater knowledge and understanding of the world and also enjoy a valuable moment where they can self and peer teach. This is because children learn best from each other and through play.

It is through computing resources that increases children’s motivation and make learning more interactive and enjoyable which in turn leads to improved attitudes and interest in learning.  FS1 Children get enormous pleasure especially from listening to stories and rhymes with the Ipad, which also encourage the use of language, development of their imagination and fine gross motor skills.

With the current growth in the technology sector, it clearly shows that our young ones will turn the world digitally, secure and occupy the best careers in future. What a future world!
